Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Shank. Now, this shank is going to slide into your 2 1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver and it's going to give you the attachment point that you need for your weight distribution system's head assembly. This is designed for use with your Weigh Safe True Tow Hitches with either an 8,500-pound or a 12,500-pound gross towing weight, and the maximum tongue weight is 1,200 pounds and the maximum gross towing weight is 12,500 pounds on this shank. This is going to give you a maximum drop in this orientation of about six inches, then when you flip this over, you'll get a maximum rise of about seven inches. And as you can see, we have a one two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight-hole adjustment, and the incremental height adjustment is 1 1/4 inch on center.
And just to give you some other measurements that might prove helpful for you, looking at the overall, we'll call this length, we're sitting right at 11 inches. That's gonna be true of the height as well, 11 inches, and then the distance between the mounting holes and the hitch pin hole here on center, lemme see if I can line that up there for you. So, as you can see, we're sitting right at seven inches on center, and then from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, looks like we're sitting right at three inches. Pin hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch, and as you saw here, hardware is going to be included with this. And this is constructed of high-strength steel, so this is gonna be very sturdy and very durable for you, and this is directly from Weigh Safe, so you can trust that this is going to work without any issues whatsoever with your True Tow Hitches, with again, either an 8,500-pound or 12,500-pound gross towing weight.
Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
